Hey, I am Claire.
I was born in downtown Chicago and spent much of my childhood in an upper middle class neighborhood living on the sixth hole of a Jack Nicholas designed golf course. Shopping, gossip, laying at the pool, and Starbucks filled my days.
After marrying my college sweetheart, Adam, in 2011 my life did a total 180.
I now live on eighty acres of farm ground in the middle of nowhere Indiana. I have five cute little hens, a 1600 square foot garden that rivals any spa I have ever been to in the sense of total tranquility, panoramic views from every angle, and passion for teaching people how to prepare, from seed to supper, amazing meals for their families.
More than a blog, Bloom is a way of life.
It’s about living life “In Bloom.” It’s about taking something small and plain and turning it into something wonderful.
To take a seed and create a beautiful, sustaining garden.
To take a farmer and then look closer to learn their story and passion.
To take something covered in dirt and turn it into a fabulous meal.
To take your life and, instead of aimlessly walking through each day, make it full of purpose.
Make it authentically remarkable.
Make it Bloom.
